SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KGO) -- Police are searching for a woman accused of stealing a box full of Christmas gifts outside someone's home in Santa Cruz.

Deputies found the stolen gifts wrapped under her Christmas tree after getting a tip from someone who recognized the woman from home surveillance video played during a news story.

In the video, a woman pulls up to a house in a white car. Then, she walks up to a front porch and heads back carrying a big box.

The homeowner said it was full of Christmas gifts.

The suspect has been identified as Emily Faye Duncan. Police said Duncan was already on probation, so deputies went to her home to do a search.

Police said she wasn't there, but many of those gifts were stacked under her tree.

Many of the items match property that was stolen from homes throughout the county.

The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Department is working to return the stolen items to their rightful owners.

They plan to post some pictures and information online on Thursday.
