ST. LOUIS (KGO) -- San Francisco 49ers running back Reggie Bush is reportedly suing the city of St. Louis over last week's injury that ended his season.

Sports reporter Jason La Canfora reported that Bush filed a lawsuit against the city-owned-and-operated Edward Jones Dome.

At the end of a play last week, he slipped on the concrete surface surrounding the turf and tore the medial collateral ligament in his left knee.

La Canfora said Bush's lawsuit accuses the city of gross negligence for having such a slippery surface next to the playing field, especially after a similar injury happened just one week before.

The Rams are reportedly changing the surface this week.
