SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Baseball is back in the Bay Area Thursday.

The A's and the Giants are gearing up for Game 1 of the Bay Bridge Series Thursday night.

It's the unofficial kickoff of the new season ahead of opening day next week.

ABC7 was at AT&T Park for a look at what Giants fans can expect this season. There's new food like popcorn shrimp and ice cream sandwiches alongside favorites like Gilroy Garlic Fries.

First pitch is at 7:15 p.m. The teams will play there again Friday night before the series shifts to the Oakland Coliseum on Saturday.

A's fans can get a free ride across the Bay Thursday on BART by meeting at Coliseum Station in Oakland between 4:30 and 5:15 p.m.
