Many athletes score big time when it comes to inspiring younger fans. But Brandon Belt hit a grand slam by delivering on his big promise to a young cancer survivor.

While playing for the San Jose Giants, minor league affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, Belt made a promise to 12-year-old cancer survivor Lyndsey Dworkin on Friday that he'd hit a home run for her.

Belt kept his promise early, knocking off a home run over the right-field fence. He appropriately signed the ball, "To Lyndsey, My Good Luck Charm."

Hopefully Belt's thumb heals up and he gets off the disabled list soon, because this good guy is going to win some giant love when he heads back to San Francisco.
