Crimson Tide top preseason AP Top 25

Alabama begins the 2016 season where it left off in 2015 -- at No. 1.

The defending national champion Crimson Tide were ranked No. 1 in the Associated Press preseason Top 25, released Sunday. Alabama received 33 of the 61 first-place votes.

Also receiving top votes were No. 2 Clemson (16), No. 3 Oklahoma (4), No. 4 Florida State (5), No. 5 LSU (1), No. 6 Ohio State (1) and No. 7 Michigan (1).

Stanford, Tennessee and Notre Dame rounded out the top 10.
