Deadline for NFL plan addressing concussion concerns

NEW YORK (KGO) -- Lawyers for the NFL and former players are hitting a deadline Friday to submit a plan addressing concussion concerns. A federal judge is imposing the deadline because of a pending settlement that could top a billion.

The judge is expected to approve the deal once she feels the safety of players is addressed. The settlement includes a promise to pay up to $5 million to certain players with severe brain complications.
