Every Kansas City Royals fan wants nothing more than to add "2014 World Series Champion" to their title. But an advertisement that ran during Sunday night's game against the San Francisco Giants seems to have congratulated the team far too soon.

During the Game 5 telecast, one YouTube user captured an advertisement by Dick's Sporting Goods that congratulated the Kansas City Royals for winning the World Series and advertising their exclusive Royals championship merchandise. Only problem though was that series was far from over on Sunday with the teams tied at 2-2, and now the Royals trailing the Giants 3-2.

Game 6 of the World Series is tonight, and the Royals would need to win that and game seven to win the championship. But if the San Francisco Giants win game 6, they will win the championship.

We have reached out to Dick's Sporting Goods and will update when they comment.
