The Giants will have a tough task trying to beat Chicago Cubs.

In 2012, the Giants beat the Reds three straight to reach the NLCS and go on to win their second World Series title in three years.

Twelve players on the current 25 man roster were there for that comeback against the Reds in 2012. The Giants are 9-0 in elimination games since then. So, the belief in the locker room is still there.

"They know they've done it. And we're going against a good club here, we have our hands full. We've faced very good clubs then, too. All about believing. If there is doubt in there, I'll talk to them. I know there isn't," said Giants Manager Bruce Bochy.

"We'd be foolish to be over-confident. They've done this before. Never take the Giants for granted. Never!" said Chicago Cubs Manager Joe Maddon.

The cubs have not been in the World Series since 1945 and have not won it since 1908. Law of averages favors the Cubs, who had the best record in baseball this season.

Game 3 against the Cubs is at AT&T Park. The first pitch is at 6:38 p.m.
