Giants, 49er legends square off at Pebble Beach celebrity golf tournament

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (KGO) -- The PGA tour is at Pebble Beach this week and the tournament kicked off on Tuesday with the fifth-annual Chevron Shootout. It was Giants players versus 49er legends.

The 49ers' side consisted of football legends Steve Young, Jerry Rice, Dwight Clark, Brent Jones, Ronnie Lott and Harris Barton. The San Francisco Giants had a younger team with Duane Kuiper, Bruce Bochy, Matt Cain and Javier Lopez and Buster Posey, who is making his debut at the event.

The Giants 2014 World Series trophy was on display at Pebble Beach Tuesday, along with the 2010 and 2012 trophies, and all five of the 49ers Super Bowl trophies dating back to 1981. This is the first time all that hardware has been in one place together.
