SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- San Francisco Giants fans are excited and nervous.

Orange October is here and Giants pride is running through the city. Fans are hopeful Wednesday night's Wild Card game won't be a one and done affair.

"It doesn't matter to me as long as they win, I'm happy. I don't want the baseball season to end, so," said Giants fan Kendrick Kin.

The Giants left for Pittsburgh Monday, leaving an empty AT&T Park. But Wednesday night, fans will be allowed inside to watch the game on the big screen.

Across the street from the stadium, workers at tech start up, Womply, are geared up for the game. Even more excited for quitting time and optimistic about their odds of moving on to the next round.

"Volquez, who pitched, who's pitching for the Pirates; his only other outing he totally got destroyed in two innings. Madison Bumgarner has been there. He hits home runs, so we'll take it. Better than any of the other pitchers, I'd say," said Womply's Marcus Kessler.

The championship hopes of Bay Area baseball fans are now solely on the shoulders of the Giants. Tuesday night, the Oakland A's lost a heartbreaker to the Kansas City Royals in the American League Wild Card game.

Ali Altman is the lone A's fan in the Womply office. The surrounding Giants fans say she's welcome to jump onto their bandwagon.

"We could use the support. You know, maybe if she wants to root for a real team, so, yeah she's definitely invited as long as she wears orange and black," said Womply's Chris Ofstad.

"It's not going to happen. Not going to happen, sorry guys," said Altman.

The AT&T Park gates open at 4 p.m. for the rally and it is free for fans. The game will then be broadcast starting at 5 p.m. on the big screen. And if the Giants win, the next home game will be on Monday against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
