Forty years ago the Warriors stood atop the basketball world after sweeping the Washington Bullets to claim their first NBA title. The 2014-15 version of the Golden State Warriors are poised to bring home their second Larry O'Brien trophy, after playing an up-tempo, fun-loving style of hoops that netted them a franchise-record 67 wins during the regular season.

The team is led by the league MVP Steph Curry, the undersized, sharp-shooting guard from tiny Davidson College. Curry holds the NBA record for three-pointers made in a season with 286, set this season.

Curry's teammate in the back court is Klay Thompson. He etched his name in the record books by scoring 37 points in a quarter vs. the Sacrament Kings in January. Because of their prolific scoring, Thompson and Curry are known as the "Splash Brothers."

The Warriors supporting cast is sprinkled with former all-stars, cagey veterans and dynamic personalities, including David Lee, Andre Iguodala and Draymond Green. While some may call them a soft, finesse team, the Warriors never back down from a fight.
