San Francisco (KGO) --San Francisco 49ers' quarterback Colin Kaepernick and the Seattle Seahawks' Russell Wilson are back on the Sports Illustrated regional covers this week, but sporting two very different looks.
Kaepernick is in just shoulder pads, showing off his six-pack. Wilson is less flashy, in almost full-gear. SI's annual NFL preview magazine covers pairs up different NFC QB rivals.
Kaepernick's story, written by SI's Michael Rosenberg, delves into his "public reputation," based on the sneak preview SI shared online. Kaepernick told SI, "I feel like I'm a good dude, and I'm a cool person to be around, but I am not that damn cool."
This is not the first time Kaepernick and Wilson have been paired up. The two were featured in a video game commercial.
This is Kaepernick's third appearance on a cover of a major magazine. He was featured on Sport Illustrated's 2013 NFL preview edition and once for GQ magazine.
