LeBron James iffy for Heat tilt

ORLANDO, Fla. -- LeBron James tweaked his right knee in the second half of the Cleveland Cavaliers' 123-108 win over the Orlando Magic on Sunday and hopes it won't sideline him for his return to Miami to face the Heat on Monday night.

James fouled Orlando's Dewayne Dedmon while trying to block the Magic forward's shot with 8:13 remaining in the third quarter and landed awkwardly on the floor, getting his right leg caught underneath him.

"It was a scary moment for myself, obviously," James said afterward. "I couldn't get my foot from up underneath me, and I was able to play through it. Obviously I'll see how I feel tomorrow and go from there. But I haven't [had] one of those falls, I don't know if ever, but in a pretty long time."

James said he will receive treatment on his knee Monday.

The play occurred after a defensive breakdown by the Cavaliers, and James let his teammates hear an earful while Dedmon shot his free throws. James stayed in the game and finished with 21 points, 13 assists, 8 rebounds and 3 steals.

"For me to be able to just finish the game, the way I fell, the way I took that fall, it goes to my training and the way I approach the game off the floor," said James, who is known for going through intense pregame stretching with his trainer, Mike Mancias. "I was happy I was able to stay out on the floor with my teammates."

The play that led to James tweaking his knee wasn't the only time he was upset Sunday, despite the Cavs winning for the 24th time in their past 29 games. With 4:35 remaining in the fourth quarter and Cleveland up 112-103, James got a steal and, as he tried to corral the ball near the sideline, had it poked out of his hands by a fan sitting courtside next to the Cavs' bench.

The play was ruled fan interference, and the Cavs were granted possession after an official's review.

"We had a fast break," James said. "I seen Shump [Iman Shumpert] streaking, and I was about to throw it all the way to him on the other side. The fan just basically, when I was [saving the ball from going out of bounds], he just slapped the ball. So it's just fan interference, and it's our ball."

The Cavs went on an 11-2 run after the interference call to salt away the game. Regardless of whether James is able to play Monday night, he said the matchup with Miami won't have the same feel as his return to South Beach on Christmas, when the Cavs lost 101-91. James had 30 points and eight assists but shot just 10-for-18 from the free throw line.

"Yeah, [it's much different]," James said.
