Marshawn Lynch loses appeal

RENTON, Wash. -- Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch lost his appeal to the NFL of his $100,000 fine from earlier this season for not talking to the media, a league source confirmed to ESPN's Adam Schefter on Thursday.

Doug Hendrickson, Lynch's agent, had this to say Thursday on Twitter:

Lynch was fined $100,000 on Nov. 19 for not speaking with reporters after several warnings from the league office. The fine was $50,000 for this season and $50,000 from last season that was imposed but held if he continued speaking to the media.

After the game against Arizona on Nov. 23, Lynch answered every question with one-word responses of "yeah" or "maybe." After the regular-season finale against the St. Louis Rams, Lynch answered every question with this response: "Why do y'all keeping doing this?"

Lynch also was fined $11,050 by the league on Christmas Day for making an obscene gesture at the end of a 79-yard touchdown run at Arizona on Dec. 21.
