NFL teams, assemble!

Veteran graphic designer Justin Koziek of justkozy.com created a series of Marvel-inspired NFL helmets that would make Roger Goddell and Stan Lee proud. Koziek had been inspired by similar Disney, Harry Potter and Star Wars NFL helmet mashups, and wanted to make a touchdown-worthy series for the Marvel universe.

"Starting out I set down a few 'ground rules' to follow," Koziek told ABC via email. "I wanted to keep each of the NFL team's original colors, I wanted those color schemes to match up with the Marvel character and I had to create everything myself (no clipart or artwork from others) and finally I wanted to keep all the designs within the same style set forth by the NFL, meaning if a team has a 2 color logo, my version would too be a 2 color logo."

Each design speaks true to the NFL team's roots as well as incorporating an element of the expanded Marvel universe. The New England Star Lords, Kansas City Spideys, and Avengers of Oakland are just a few of the heroic teams that line up Kozier's comic book roster.
