Neymar agent blasts Scolari

Neymar's agent Wagner Ribeiro has taken to Twitter to launch a scathing attack on Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari as both a manager and a person.

With Neymar absent after a fractured vertebra ruled him out of the World Cup, Scolari's Brazil were humiliated 7-1 by Germany in their semifinal clash in Belo Horizonte.

The margin was the biggest ever in a World Cup semifinal, and saw the humbled Scolari and his players face a barrage of criticism.

And Ribeiro reacted to the embarrassing defeat by tweeting a list of six reasons why he said Scolari was not up to the job of managing his country in a World Cup on home soil.

- Wagner Ribeiro (@wagneribeiro_) July 9, 2014He wrote: "1. He trained Portugal and did not win anything. 2. Went to Chelsea and got sacked. 3. Went to coach in Uzbekistan. 4. Returned to Brazil, took a big team [Palmeiras in 2012] and got them relegated. 5. Asked to resign 56 days before the end of the season to avoid the relegation. 6. He's a 'd-------', arrogant, horrible, conceited and ridiculous."

Neymar said later on Thursday his agent has his own opinions with which the star player does not agree.

"Only my father and I represent what I say," he said. "Whatever Wagner says he has to own up to. I like him a lot, but his attitude I won't accept or agree with. If I'd seen him today I would have some swear words for him."

Neymar declined to answer whether he thought Scolari should stay or go, saying only, "When we lose we don't have to change everything but correct things by working hard."

Germany revealed that their players had been told not to "ridicule" Brazil after going five goals in front before half an hour had been played.

Scolari said he would not resign after the semifinal hammering, which he described as "the worst day of my life," and would wait until after the tournament to determine his future.
