OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- On Friday, the Golden State Warriors will be honored at a [url HREF="http://abc7ne.ws/1Rb8tbr" TARGET="" REL=""]parade and rally[/url] for the 2015 NBA champions. ABC7 News got a sneak peek at some of the floats that the players will be riding on. The victory parade in Oakland begins at 10 a.m. from Broadway and 11th streets and ends at the Kaiser Convention Center.[br /][br /]The festivities may not start until Friday morning, but already the city is starting to feel like one giant party. Crews are already setting up the stage for the rally. And the first of the super fans are already showing up to stake out a good spot for the celebration.[br /][br /][twitter ID="611699550693097472" /][br /]At the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy presentation, Warriors co-owner Joe Lacob said, "We have the greatest fans in the world. It's been 40 years. I'm so happy for them."[br /][br /]And now, they get to celebrate.[br /][br /][twitter ID="611585448490631168" /][br /]All of downtown Oakland can feel it.[br /][br /]"All along the street in Oakland, everybody's just excited," said Torpedo Sushi manager Jam Zumel.[br /][br /]Joyous Warriors fans are counting down the hours until the sidewalks are awash in gold and blue. The restaurants are ready.[br /][br /][post ID="788450" /][br /]"When the parade is over, we have the same DJ coming in," said Era Lounge co-owner Kevin Best. "Basically we'll recreate what we do for all the games."[br /][br /]Era had the official Warriors viewing parties. From one nail-biting game to the next, they got to know the fans.[br /][br /]"About 75 percent of the people were the same people," Best said. "Getting here early, they all got to know each other cause you start to connect with people when you're celebrating together. And we'll see all those people tomorrow, I'm sure."[br /][br /][twitter ID="611581369181802496" /][br /]But those fans won't be seeing Best. The bar owner cooks for the Warriors, so he'll be in the parade on one of the floats that's still being built.[br /][br /]"We're building about six floats really in two days," said float builder Stephanie Mufson.[br /][br /]Those same float builders are also preparing for San Francisco's Pride Parade. Some of those floats are getting a quick makeover for the Warriors and taking a surprise trip across the bay.[br /][br /][twitter ID="611600665912061952" /][br /]"We don't normally travel outside the city," Mufson said. "We do occasionally for a small town parade here and there. But we don't normally take an entire parade across the bridge, that's exciting."[br /][br /]In part, that's because all the recent victory parades have been in San Francisco. Now, Oakland is getting its chance.[br /][br /][twitter ID="611564027450265600" /][br /]"We haven't had one in 40 years," Best said. "I mean, we still don't believe it."[br /][br /]There will be a float dedicated to the Splash Brothers, but crews have a lot of work to do before it's finished. The other floats are still in development.[br /][br /]"Built three yesterday and we're building three today, so those will have to be a surprise," Mufson said.[br /][br /][b]ABC7 has been proud to be your NBA Finals station, and count on us to continue bringing you your best coverage of the parade and rally.
