COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- A Bay Area delegation is going to Colorado Springs Thursday to meet with U.S. Olympic Committee leadership about a potential bid for the 2024 summer games.

Representatives from San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, and Washington are attending an information session Friday where the USOC will give cities details of a possible bid.

Giants CEO Larry Baer, Mayoral Advisor Tony Winnicker and venture capitalist Steve Strandberg are among those representing San Francisco.

San Francisco is still in the exploratory process and the USOC won't decide until next year whether it will make a run for the 2024 games.
