San Jose man pleaded no contest to stabbing Aldon Smith

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- A San Jose man has pleaded no contest to stabbing 49ers linebacker Aldon Smith back in 2012.

Steven Barba, 28, was attending a house party at Smith's home when things turned violent. He allegedly stabbed Smith twice in the torso and then ran off.

Two other people were shot during the party.

Smith wasn't seriously injured.

Barba was later identified through security camera footage.

He is expected to be sentenced to three years in state prison next month.
