Steph Curry to start for Western Conference in NBA All-Star game

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Golden State Warriors' Steph Curry got the most votes in the NBA and will start for the Western Conference in the 2015 NBA All-Star Game.

Curry received the most votes out of any other player, more than last season's overall vote leader LeBron James.

Curry's having an MVP-type season, averaging 23 points per game and 8 assists.

Blake Griffin, Anthony Davis and Marc Gasol round out the Starting 5 for the west.

Bryant was voted in as a Western Conference All-Star starter Thursday night for a record 17th consecutive year but will have to be replaced if he's unable to play because of a torn rotator cuff.

Golden State Warriors' Steve Kerr will coach the Western Conference in the All-Star Game on Feb. 15.
