Traffic did not become a problem for people headed to the Cal Bears, Oregon Ducks game Friday at Levi's Stadium

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (KGO) -- The Oregon Ducks, Cal Bears game put Levi's Stadium to the test in a rare Friday night game -- a traffic test.

The crowd at Levi's Stadium was chipper. Their excitement could be from to the tailgating, or the fact it's Friday night, or maybe because it was oddly easy to get to the stadium.

"Actually, it wasn't too bad. I was pretty surprised," said Sonia Ramos of Modesto.

It took Rick Ragusa and his family about an hour and a half to drive from San Francisco.

"Tonight, traffic was actually not that bad, 280 to 85 to 237 and we got here without too much fuss," San Francisco resident Rick Ragusa said.

Tour buses also helped keep drivers off the road and plenty of people took the light rail, which could have helped ease traffic.

A couple from Sausalito got caught in the crunch and they weren't allowed to park at the hotel where family members were staying for the game, so they had lunch and walked.

"Which was a good 25 to 30 minute walk to visit him, I can only imagine what goes on when the Niners play," Tim McEnery said.

There were plenty of lanes for pedestrians tonight as the cars start rolling home.
