SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Warriors fans have a huge treat in store for them Tuesday. There's a day-long free fan event at Pier 43 in San Francisco to celebrate the start of the new season.

The NBA champions will host the New Orleans Pelicans Tuesday night.

A basketball court at Fisherman's Wharf lights up, made of LED panels. This is one of a few fun features you can visit out here Tuesday.

TNT usually sets this up in New York and this is the first time they are taking it on the road. Of course they chose the home of the champions, the Golden State Warriors.

Their commentators, including Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal, will be broadcasting from here during the game.

But during the day, you can stop by and catch different features, including an autograph session with former Warrior Rick Barry at 1 p.m.

This being at Pier 43, we have seen a lot of tourists popping in here and liking what they see.

"Well it makes sense that it's here because this is home of the champions. It's beautiful out here by the water and there's a lot of really cool stuff going on. It's neat, there's a lot of energy. Looks good," Colorado tourist Ken Himel said.

When asked if it's getting him excited for basketball season, Himel replied, "I am excited for basketball season but, like I said, we're from Denver and we're Nuggets fans. It's going to be a rough ride for us but will be great for you guys. I see a repeat."

The Warriors dance team is here to get everyone fired up about this first game of the season. The team is not here, since players are getting focused for the game.

There's lots of enthusiasm at the pier, and the party continues until 10 p.m. if you want to stop by and celebrate the beginning of basketball season.
