Since the US won their opening match against Ghana (and against all odds), you may have been entertaining dreams of catching a quick flight down to Brazil to see them compete against Portugal. Maybe the flight will be a bit expensive, you think, but it can't be more than $800 - totally worth it to cheer on your boys in red, white and blue. Wrong, so wrong. So sadly wrong. As detailed in this article for Fusion Soccer, a "quick" trip down to Brazil will be anything but, due to exorbitant hotel and food prices, lagging transportation infrastructure, and a completely confusing ticket lottery system. Unless you're a movie star, supermodel or Joe Biden, you're honestly better off watching from the comfort of your couch (or favorite bar).
