Suspect accused of multiple shootings shot, killed by Sacramento area sheriff's deputies

ROSEVILLE, Calif. (KGO) -- A suspect accused of shooting multiple people in different neighborhoods is dead after being shot by deputies in the Sacramento area.

The Placer County Sheriff's Department tells us he fired at multiple homes from Newcastle to Loomis.

Deputies confronted him after he crashed into another car.

A K9 was also shot but is expected to be okay.

Deputies say one of the victims managed to get to a fire department - and that's how officers were notified.
