CUPERTINO, Calif. (KGO) -- A South Bay city is about to increase its speed limit on the information superhighway.

AT&T plans to announce it will bring GigaPower to Cupertino.

The super-fast broadband service promises download speeds of up to one gigabit per second, that's fast enough to download a high-definition movie in 30 seconds.

AT&T says it hopes to offer GigaPower to Cupertino as early as December and roll out the service to other bay area cities next year.
