SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- An event hosted by a Bay Area powerhouse on Tuesday helped give kids a head start in tech.

A local nonprofit called Mission Bit taught fifth and sixth graders how to code.

This all took place at an event called TrailheaDX, which was hosted by Salesforce.

They say this event is meant to help power the next generation of developers.
