Oracle's Open World conference kicks off in San Francisco
Tens of thousands of visitors are in downtown San Francisco today for Oracle's Open World conference.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Tens of thousands of visitors are in downtown San Francisco today for Oracle's Open World conference.

The conference is drawing 60,000 people from all over the world to San Francisco to learn about everything Oracle has to offer.

This week it's all about new products for managing cloud based apps and platform services. Open World is also an opportunity to network and meet people from all over the world. The company's executive chairman, Larry Ellison took the stage last night and kicked off his flagship conference. Oracle's CEO Mark Hurd will be the keynote speaker at 9 a.m. at the Moscone Center.

Wednesday is expected to be the highlight of the week, Elton John and Beck will be performing for conference goers at Treasure Island.

Traffic is going to be delayed around Howard Street between Third and Fourth Streets will be closed until Thursday and Muni route near Moscone Center will be affected as well.
