Customers are claiming that their tattooed wrists may be preventing the Apple Watch from functioning properly.

The watch uses your heart rate to determine whether you're wearing it.

It flashes green, infrared light at your skin but tattoos, particularly dark ones, may interfere with the ability of the light to be absorbed.

Some users have taken to Twitter and Reddit to complain about the issue after finding they couldn't use Apply Pay, receive notifications or place calls.
