SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- The CHP reports that all westbound lanes of the Bay Bridge are clear following three separate crashes involving nine vehicles.

Sgt. Dianna McDermott says the accidents occurred around 9:40 a.m. just west of the Yerba Buena Island tunnel, and resulted in periodic lane closures that backed up traffic for about 90 minutes.

Two people have been transported to local hospitals with minor injuries.

McDermott says the cause of the crashes is still under investigation.
