Driver hospitalized after car plunges 200 feet off cliff on I-580

ALAMEDA COUNTY, Calif (KGO) -- A driver is in the hospital after a bad wreck on I-580 east of Livermore. Authorities say a car plunged 200 feet off a cliff near North Flynn Road around 1:30 a.m.

The crash sparked a brush fire that has been put out.

All lanes have since reopened.
