High-speed chase on eastbound I-80 ends in arrest

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- California Highway Patrol officers were involved in a high-speed chase that started in Albany and ended in an arrest in Oakland Tuesday night.

According to authorities, the chase began just before 9:30 p.m. after a speeding driver failed to pull over for CHP officers on Eastbound Highway 80 in Albany near Buchanan Street.

CHP confirmed that the suspect was traveling at speeds of 100 mph. The chase continued onto I-580 before ending in East Oakland. Police took the driver into custody.
