Hwy 92 lanes reopen in Hayward after big rig crash

HAYWARD, Calif. -- A big-rig overturned on eastbound state Highway 92 near the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge this morning, blocking a lane of the highway for nearly an hour, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The big-rig went off the road and into an embankment around 6:20 a.m. on eastbound Highway 92 in Hayward near the toll plaza for westbound drivers.

Minor injuries were reported in the crash, which blocked the far right lane of the highway. All lanes of the highway reopened by 7:10 a.m., according to the CHP.
