I-80 in Vallejo reopened after brush fire

VALLEJO, Calif. -- Lanes of westbound Interstate Highway 80 in Vallejo have reopened after firefighters put out a brush fire that burned near the highway.

The fire was reported at 6:27 a.m. near the Magazine Street off-ramp, CHP officials said.

Two lanes were initially blocked but as of about 8:20 a.m., only the far right lane remains closed along with the Maritime Street on-ramp. The lane and ramp are expected to remain closed until about 11:30 a.m. while fire crews clean up, according to the CHP.
