New freeway onramps open in San Jose

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- Drivers are having an easier time thanks to the opening of two new freeway ramps in San Jose.

The newly configured ramps are at the Stevens Creek Boulevard exit to-and-from Southbound I-880. Northbound ramps will open on Friday.

This is one of the busiest corridors in the Bay Area, Valley Fair Mall and Santana Row are nearby.

A flyover connecting I-880 and I-280 is still under construction and is scheduled to open early next year.
