Oakland police officer involved in collision

An Oakland police officer got into a wreck with another car while answering a call to back-up a co-worker.

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- An Oakland police officer got into a wreck with another car while answering a call to back-up a co-worker.

The police car smashed into a sedan at 40th Street and Telegraph Avenue around 10 a.m. Saturday.

The officer was not hurt.

Paramedics took the other driver to the hospital after they complained of pain.

It's unclear who was at fault. The police traffic unit is investigating the crash.
