Several apprehended at Travis Air Force Base following police chase
Police say at least five were taken into custody Wednesday after a crash outside Travis Air Force Base following a police chase for a burglary suspect.

FAIRFIELD, Calif. (KGO) -- Travis Air Force Base near Fairfield re-opened its gates after an incident forced a closure Wednesday morning.

ABC7 News has learned the Solano County Sheriff was pursuing a vehicle that crashed into the gates.

Travis Air Force Base near Fairfield has re-opened its gates after an incident forced a closure this morning. Officials say several people have been apprehended, but it is unclear at this time if they posed a threat to the base.

It's believed five people were inside the car, including a burglary suspect under surveillance by Santa Clara police.

All five people were taken into custody by Travis Air Force Base police.
