Santa Clara County officials work to prevent heat-related deaths
Santa Clara County officials and outreach workers are on alert following the two heat-related deaths of senior citizens in the South Bay.

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- County officials and outreach workers are on alert following the two heat-related deaths of senior citizens in the South Bay.

The Santa Clara County medical examiner's office identified the two victims as 72-year-old Dennis Young and 87-year-old Setsu Jordan.

Officials there are taking extra steps to prevent any more people from dying as a result of the heat.
