U.S. Forest Service conducting survey in Sierra to find dead trees, determine cause

DAVIS, Calif. (KGO) -- After five years of drought, 66 million dead trees have been reported by the Forest Service in the Southern Sierra and an aerial survey is being conducted in Northern California. Dead trees are the fuel that could mean a bad fire season ahead.
