1 rescued after car goes down embankment in East San Jose

EAST SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- Crews transported a person to a nearby hospital after their car went off an embankment in the East San Jose foothills Wednesday afternoon.

The incident happened off Sierra Road in the Sierra Vista Open Space Preserve.

First responders took one person out of the car who was then strapped to a gurney.

There are reports the car was at an overlook before going off an embankment.
