In San Francisco, fans got in line Wednesday night outside the Metreon Theatre where they will experience a Star Wars marathon. They will watch all of the Star Wars movies starting with 'Phantom Menace' and ending with 'The Force Awakens.'

'The Force Awakens' is expected to be a huge box office hit, some predicting it will even beat the record held by Avatar and will make $3 billion. The reviews are good and the shows at the Metreon are sold out tonight.

The new "Star Wars" movie is so big that Bay Area police departments are beefing up patrols to help keep fans safe. Extra officers will be on San Mateo streets when the movie officially opens Thursday night. The department made a Star Wars-themed YouTube video, reminding folks to have fun, but don't go to the dark side, and don't leave valuables in your car.
