Chicago officials agreed to pay a woman $875,000 after surveillance video showed an officer shoving her into a jail, causing her to hit her head on a concrete bench.

SKOKIE, IL. -- A northwest suburb of Chicago has agreed to pay $875,000 to a woman who accused a police officer of using excessive force after a DUI arrest.

Video shows Skokie Police officer Michael Hart shoving Cassandra Feuerstein into a jail cell and her head hitting a concrete bench. She suffered serious injuries to her face.

Hart resigned after the March 2013 incident and pleaded guilty to official misconduct.
