LOS ANGELES -- An animal taking a selfie? It may sound odd, but Google and the Los Angeles Zoo made it happen.

Google set up high-tech cameras in animal enclosures all over the L.A. Zoo to help the animals take some good photos.

The cameras automatically snap photos when the animal comes within a certain range. So far a sloth, tiger, warthog and a few others have taken part in the photo sessions.

The Greater L.A. Zoo Association hopes the selfies will bring more people out to visit all the animals.
