SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Uber is showing solidarity with the victims in Orlando.

The company is offering free rides to and from venues important to the LGBT community in 40 cities this weekend.

Here in the Bay Area, a discount of up to $20 will be applied if you get dropped off or picked up from places like Harvey Milk Plaza or the Castro Theatre in San Francisco or White Horse Inn in Oakland.
