STANFORD, Calif. (KGO) -- Monday morning quarterbacking is a mainstay of sports. And in politics, experts are already analyzing why Tuesday's presidential election turned out to be a surprise to many.

The subject drew a capacity crowd at Stanford University to hear why Tuesday's election propelled Donald Trump to the White House and left Hillary Clinton defeated.
