SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The madness is about to begin, Black Friday is just days away.

Many shoppers will be getting up early to bust open store doors this Black Friday.

"Overall, I'd say this is shaping up to be an impressive good year for Black Friday deals," said Benjamin Glaser of Deal News, who got an advanced look at the ads. "Well the big categories for Black Friday are TVs, laptops, home goods and clothing."

Best Buy is offering a door buster on 49 inch Toshiba 4K TV for just under $200. That's half off.

Walmart has a deal on the popular PlayStation S for $249, plus you get a $30 gift card.

That's $50 lower than most predicted, even without the gift card. The deals are a reaction to the increasingly careful spending of consumers.

"Retailers know they're going to have to provide some real impressive deals to get people to come out and open their wallets," said Glaser.

Target has the Apple Watch Series 1, which normally starts at $269 at $198 and JC Penney is bringing the home good deals.

"They're advertising a down alternative comforter for just $20 and normally can go for anywhere from $100 to $160," Glaser said.

He warns that the best deals may be the ones you stay away from. "You're going to see stores using misleading high list prices to exaggerate discounts."

The best advice is to do your own research on how much items should cost, make a budget and stick to it.
