Heavy rain renews hope for Coho Salmon
December's heavy rains have brought a renewed hope for returning Coho Salmon after years of dwindling populations.

MARIN COUNTY, Calif. (KGO) -- December's heavy rains have brought a renewed hope for returning Coho Salmon.

A few decades ago the Coho salmon could be seen spawning almost anywhere, now they're down to roughly 250 pairs and that makes them special. They're a native species battling for survival just inches beneath the flowing waters of Lagunitas Creek.
