17-year-old stabbed to death in San Jose

SAN JOSE (KGO) -- San Jose police are investigating a homicide on South Sunset Avenue near East San Antonio Street after they were called before midnight for a reported fight in the street.

Officers say a 17 year-old was found with at least one stab wound. A group of people was seen running from the area. An officer performed CPR on the victim but he ended up dying a short time later at the hospital.

This is the 2nd homicide in 27 hours in the area.

About a mile away on Van Winkle Lane, a male was shot and killed on Wednesday night. No arrests have been made in either case.

These are San Jose's 33rd and 34th homicides of the year. San Jose had 47 homicides in 2016.
