Year-long roof leak makes nightmare for Solano Couple

SOLANO COUNTY, Calif. (KGO) -- An elderly Solano County couple says they've endured one year with a horrendous roof leak that they blame on a contractor. The couple wanted to help the environment by leasing solar panels, but they say they've also received a year's worth of aggravation.

Samuel Sterling, 81, showed us last March the huge tarp he used to try and control his roof leak with. His wife Catherine says the leak was so bad much of the rug in their living room had to be pulled up.
