Five Bay Area homes to receive San Jose Sharks-themed paint job

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- As the San Jose Sharks begin their run through the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs, one Los Gatos family is demonstrating their commitment to the team in a very unique way - by having their house painted in Sharks Teal.

The Los Gatos home is part of a promotion called "Sharks For Life" in which the team offers fans a home makeover.

Additionally, four other Bay Area homes from San Francisco to Pleasanton to San Jose have also been selected to also receive a custom Sharks paint job in the next few weeks. These five homes will be the charter members of the "Teal Houses of Sharks Territory."

As part of the promotion, upon completion of the makeover, each home will receive a plaque, similar to a historic marker, designating it as an "Official Teal House of Sharks Territory."
