SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- We've partnered with the team at Hoodline - the hyperlocal neighborhood website to find weekend activities in and around the Bay Area.

How To Break Up By Text - Mid-Market, SoMa

Two comedians from New York are in San Francisco to perform "How To Break Up By Text."

They use actual screen grabs sent in from the audience to laugh about and analyze how tacky some people are when they don't have the nerve to have an actual exit interview with their dating partner. It plays Friday night, one show only, in mid-market.

The World Dog Surfing Championship

From dogs who dump you to dogs who surf Saturday is the World Dog Surfing Championship at Linda Mar Beach in Pacifica.

You can register your dog to get on a board or just go and watch.

TasteTV puts it on from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2017.

Stilettos for Shanghai

A new documentary about San Francisco's own sisters of perpetual indulgence will premiere on Monday. The group went to Shanghai to look into LGBT Rights in a country that has a complicated relationship with the subject.

The premiere for 'Stilettos for Shanghai' happens at The Castro Theater. You can meet my colleague and the filmmaker, Monet Allard Wilcox.
